Know Your Numbers Before You Spend

Two quick tools to plan your ad spend — no guessing, no generic Facebook-group advice. Just your price, your margin, and your numbers.

These are estimates based on the numbers you enter — actual results can vary depending on your location, style, popularity, and market competition.

Lead Unit Economics

What A New Inquiry Should Cost

No guessing — we calculate from session price, margin and conversion rate. (In marketing terms, this inquiry is called a "lead.") Enter your project's numbers or pick a preset.

Inputs

Average price per session 400 €
Margin after studio fee / materials 70%
Lead → booking conversion paid deposit 25%
Target ad spend share of profit 15%

Maximum allowed cost per lead

10 / lead
min max (risk)
Profit per client 280 €
Allowed CAC 42 €
CPL range 7.4 € – 13.7 €
Leads needed to get 1 client 4
Risk zone: if conversion drops below your estimate, the lead cost needs to be even lower — conversion is usually the most volatile variable.
Monthly Budget Planning

How Much To Spend On Ads

Set how many sessions you want this month — get the ad budget needed to reach that, based on your price, margin, and conversion.

Inputs

Average price per session 400 €
Margin after studio fee / materials 70%
Desired sessions per month 8
Lead → booking conversion paid deposit 25%
Target ad spend share of profit 15%

Recommended monthly ad budget

336 / month
min max
Leads needed / month 32
Implied cost per lead 10.5 €
Profit per session 280 €
Budget range 235 € – 454 €
This is a planning estimate — actual spend will vary with campaign performance, season, and local competition.
What do these terms mean?
Lead — someone who messaged you or filled out a form asking about a tattoo. Not a client yet, just interest.
CPL (Cost Per Lead) — how much you pay, on average, for one lead.
Conversion — the % of leads who actually book and pay a deposit.
CAC — how much it costs to get one paying client (not just a lead). Always higher than CPL.
Margin — how much of your session price is actual profit, after studio fee and materials.
Allowed CAC — the max you can afford to spend per paying client.
Allowed CPL — the max you can afford to pay per lead.
Ad spend share — the % of your profit per client you're willing to put toward ads.
Monthly ad budget — the total you'd spend on ads in a month to hit your target number of sessions, given your CAC.
